Chris Shanahan has led marketing across the luxury property and lifestyle sectors since 2010 and now serves as Director of Marketing at BARNES Yachting, overseeing global strategy across sales, charter, co-ownership, and new build.
He oversees brand positioning, digital infrastructure, and multi-channel campaigns, ensuring a consistent, high-quality presence across international markets. His work focuses on aligning marketing with advisory-led client engagement, supporting brokers with tools and systems that drive qualified enquiries and long-term relationships.
Originally from South Africa, and having lived in Egypt and the UK, Chris brings a global perspective to UHNW client marketing. His expertise lies in strategic positioning, content direction, and creating seamless user journeys across digital and physical touch points.
Alongside his core role, he plays a key part in cross-network initiatives within the BARNES ecosystem, including events, partnerships, and international exposure strategies.
